Boda Posted January 7, 2020 Share Posted January 7, 2020 My wife has a 2013 Fusion with the 1.6L and 137k on it. A couple months ago it threw a code that lead me to the map sensor on the intake manifold. Changed that and it’s been fine. Today though it experienced the same problems, rough running, no power. Threw codes P0234, P0236 and P2227. I was able to met her and clear the codes but it happened another 5 times in 15 miles. Mostly right at key on. So I looked at it more closely once I got home and there is a clicking noise echoing through the intake that I can hear at the filter and towards the turbo in the back of the motor. Any idea? Solenoid or wastegate comes to mind. On the test drive it felt like the boost was way inconsistent. Here is a video of the noise, it does it about every 5 seconds . That’s what forums are all about. Been about 2 weeks and none of the 3 codes have come back.
