Unikarl
Just joined up as it seems most UK mondeo owners aren’t into modding. I’m trying to pick up some ideas/tips to improve the car. so far I’ve installed eibachs, fitted the 19” wheels with 15 mil spacers, added the sports grill, ST line lower bumper extensions, added the double exhaust on the rear, fitted JL audio components/sub/amp. Upgraded the climate/stereo unit to the Sony version and remapped the crappy 150 Diesel engine to a more lively 230 bhp. I’ve also installed bigger front brakes from the mk2 focus RS. anyway, here’s a quick pic from a few months ago. Now I’ll have a browse!
drolds1
Welcome Unikarl! We always enjoy getting new members from other countries. It's fun to compare the Mondeo and Fusion. I know there folks here in the U.S. that would love a wagon version of the Fusion.
bangster
I would love a diesel wagon! I really don't see the need to sit up tall in a CUV/SUV but do like the utility of a wagon. I would (if I could) trade my Escape for one in a second. The grille looks exactly like the lower grille on the 2010-2012 Sport, same outside shape, same angled bars at the ends, same honeycomb open in the center closed in the ends.
Unikarl
I had no idea that you guys don’t get the estate version. My car is a work horse and I need a big boot which is why I went for it. The wife wanted me to get an x trail or similar but I’ll always have a car over an SUV. I just wish I could have got the petrol version but I cover 60k a year so diesel was the only sensible option really. ive seen some of the cars on here now... maybe joining up will be costly!
Clueless66
I wish they did offer this in the states. I just retired a 2004 ford taurus wagon in December 2019 that I had for 8 years. I loved the large opening of the rear. It helped me load up the car for when I drove home to stock up on food supplies for the month. It also made it easier to get stuff out also. The diesel engine would have been nice for the 471 mile journey one way home, once a month. Edited May 27, 2020 by Clueless66
drolds1
Not a wagon per se, but supposedly, the Fusion will return as a lifted SUV/wagon.
