akirby
Id hit them up for a minimum of $5k to cover the increased mileage, missing features and less warranty coverage.

So my wife and I had found a good deal on a 2018 fusion platinum from a dealership not too far away. The description stated it was a fusion platinum with features we were looking for (the adaptive cruise control being the main thing). Long story short she drives up a few days ago and trades her car in, and drives home with a great Ford Fusion! It turns out the car does not have adaptive cruise control, cooled seats, and other features that we thought it had. The car also has 49k miles when all of the paper work states 19k, so that’s another issue I’ll be addressing with them when they open up Monday. I tried a few online VIN checkers to see what the VIN tells me, but it says it’s either a titanium or a platinum. I’m just trying to decide if it is indeed a platinum before I call and make a fool of myself. If anyone has an idea on how I could determine this that would be great. Thanks! I have a 2017 Platinum. The model name is on the lower left side of the trunk.

Well, the lower right side of the trunk, but point taken, why bother with window sticker and etis as built when it says what model it is on the trunk. Sure, that can be replaced, as can the entire deck lid, so it isn't as fool proof, but probably not many people badge engineering a Platinum to a Titanium.

It is on the lower right side and not the left.

It was determined back on the first page that the OP had a Titanium, not a Platinum. There were multiple people involved in this thread. If you are asking someone other than the OP, either quote them or include their name so we know who you mean. Good luck.

I was wondering if there was an update on the outcome with the dealership, whether they took the car back because of false advertising.

Hi kalel Just a possibly helpful hint for you and others: If you use the quote button in someones post, it will quote them in your reply and also notify them that someone quoted/replied to them when they sign in again. It helps all around. Good luck.
