New (to me) Fusion Titanium Energie

Greetings, everyone...

I just bought a 2019 Fusion Titanium Energie... CPO vehicle with 9400 miles...

I have a lot to learn about this buggy... And frankly, I'm a little apprehensive about all the computer-controlled gadgetry...

I'm a long-time Ford owner... I bleed Ford Blue... I traded my 2004 Grand Marquis LS Ultimate Edition for the Fusion... I had figured my Grand Marquis would be my last car... but I out-lived it, to my surprise.

Other vehicles in my stable are a 2004 Ranger and my beloved 1984 Mustang Convertible.

Welcome! As you have already identified, I made a similar transition (from a 2000 Grand Marquis with 320,000).

While I didn't have my 2015 long (bought for my daughter) and my 2012 is no where near equipped like a 2019 is, I understand where you are coming from, pretty big difference between the two cars.

My father got a 2020 Explorer Platinum with all the gadgets, and I am sure he is still fighting with his, yelling at it when lane keeping takes him into a turn lane, or makes him use it turn signal or vibrates the wheel. I still see him looking over his shoulder when backing up!

Hi Ponyguy.  I too am a Ford guy that bought a 2019 Fusion.  All the electronic features were a learning curve for me too.  But being

another Ford made it a bit easier and an enjoyable learning experience.  Soon you will be familiar with all the features and hopefully enjoy a really

fine car.

Thanks for the warm welcome, folks!

Here is a quick photograph of my new "electric toy."

This is my first foray into the world of Hybrid vehicles, and seeing that it's a Fusion Energie plug-in vehicle, I guess I jumped in with both feet.

I've been driving for more than 60 years, and this was probably the most challenging vehicle I've driven to date.

It took about 45 minutes for the salesman to program my smartphone with "Ford Pass," and "My Ford Mobile" so we could drive the car home from the dealership.

I think those of us who are able to master all the smartphone quirks of a Fusion Hybrid Energie model should be given about 3 or 4 hours of computer credit from a University or at least the local community college.
