Rearview mirror turn signals

Today, I was making a left turn behind another Fusion which had turn signal repeaters on the rearview mirror.

My Fusion is a 2019, and it doesn't have this feature; when did this feature disappear?

Along with the deletion of soundproofing, this seems like another bit of Ford's bean-counters doing their de-contenting act.

Not sure what model you saw, but for 2019 that is available on the SEL or higher.

Yes, it was decontented for the SE in 2017 but still available in a package.

  • 2017-2018 you had to get the SE with the Luxury Package (which became the SEL in 2019) or higher.
  • 2013-2016 is was standard on SE or higher (so only the S didn't get them).

Wait...your 2019 Energi Titanium has the "Turn Signal Indicator" and in your posted picture I see it. This is the turn signal on the outer edge of the cap. Are you talking about something in the mirror glass?

Even more confused over rear view mirror versus side view mirror, so I guess I don't know what you are talking about, never seen any sort of turn signal indicator in the rear view mirror (center of windshield). Other than after market, don't know that I have seen the in mirror lights on the side view mirrors either.

Doggone it, Mr. Bangster, you made me go out in my garage and look at the car... And there they are, adorning the leading edge of the outside mirror.

I can see it on my Fusion now, but I don't notice the turn indicator blink when I'm sitting behind the steering wheel... I'm accustomed to seeing the turn indicators in the mirror glass, like those in many GM pickup trucks (and in my own Ranger, with the accessory "signal mirrors" from Muth)... so I assumed my car didn't have them.

Good God, it's Hell to be getting old... ?

My apologies to the bean-counters at Ford who I have maligned.
