SilverSCfusion
Hello, I just took delivery of a 2020 Ford Fusion Energi. Great car! Previously I had a C-Max hybrid. Question: I’ve been using the provided 120v charger. It shows a 100% charge but, only 20 mile range. Everything I read says the 2020 has a larger battery and should have a 26 mile range. Is this just a matter of the computer using driving variables to come up with an estimated range? Or is my battery faulty. It would just seem that after every full charge it should be at 26 miles. Obviously, then as you drive it would adjust downward quicker with more aggressive driving, weather, etc. Thanks In Advance! Jeff

You need to drive it for awhile. At least 500-1,000 miles. Then if you still feel there is an issue, make a service appointment. Keep us updated and good luck.
drolds1
You might want to post your question on the Ford Fusion Energi Forum, where you'll have access to many more owners than you do here.
Ponyguy
Hello, Jeff... I recently bought a CPO 2019 Fusion Energie, probably a lot like yours. When I drove it home from the dealership, it had a full tank of gas, and a full charge on the traction battery. It read 612 miles of range, and 24 miles of electricity. I drive the car primarily on short trips, only to the grocery store, pharmacy, church, etc. Rarely more than 15 miles. The read-out usually showed about 20 to 24 miles of electric available. A couple of weeks ago, we had an unusually warm spell here in suburban Chicago, and I drove the car for a few days with the windows open and the climate control system shut off; the electric range went up to 30 and 32 miles after a couple of those re-charges. So, the car's computer system keeps track of your electric usage, along with your miles traveled, and makes continuous changes to your expected range. Frankly, I'm thrilled with this car... I've driven it almost 1600 miles since January 23, and I've put less than 18 gallons of gasoline in it. But, I charge it every night, and drive primarily short, around-town trips. Keep an eye on your expected range gauge, and I think you'll see it reflect changes comparable with your driving. Best of luck!
SilverSCfusion
Thank you for the reply. I think that answers my question. I’ll keep an eye on it and I’m guessing the range will go up in time as it learns my driving style. I drive 13 miles to work and if I can do that and partially get home with no gas I’ll be a happy camper.
Ponyguy
Mr.SilverSCfusion, I realize that it's been a few months since you posted about this situation, but I thought I'd offer a bit of my own experience to reinforce my "EV Range" claim. Ford's brochure says that the EV Range (of a 2019 or later) Fusion Energie is about 26 miles. (YMMV, of course.) But... Last week, I took notice of my dashboard for a change... usually, I just hop in the car and go. But this time I noticed my estimated EV range had increased considerably:
