MrHomz
Hey all, having a weird issue with my 2010 Fusion Sport climate control. It works perfectly fine most times, however after an hour or more of continuous operation using AC, it seems like the air stops flowing no matter what position it is set at (floor, vents etc). I just changed the resistor due to non-operational blower, which solved that issue...but the above-mentioned issue was there prior to that. Kind of sucks if I'm on a 3 hour road trip and the airflow just gradually stops (blower is working awesome, you can hear it easily)...so I'm wondering, would the blend door actuator start acting up after running so long? Has anyone else experienced this? It also happened in a previous 2010 FF SEL and also a 2009 Edge we had. Any input would be great, thanks!
eGuru
The blend door actuator won't stop the air flow - it only controls the mix of cold and warm air. Sounds like the flow is stopping because the evaporator is freezing up.
MrHomz
Yeah I don't know why I even mentioned the blend door actuator, that's for hot and cold. I actually meant the actuator for switching between floor and vent and defrost etc. But, you have a very good point...that will be the next thing I look at. Thanks!
