lc89_
I have a 2014 Ford Fusion & I’m having a problem with my gas gauge reading (the little arm) not the screen. I went to fill it up it got filled up completely with 252 miles when it usually fills up with a little over 400 miles & the gauge (the little arm) is telling me that it’s full with 252 miles which is not correct. Does anyone know what it can be?
eGuru
So the gauge is working fine but the distance to empty calculation is not what you expected. See what mpg value the car has calculated. then reset it and then see what it reads for mpg and DTE after a few days of driving.

Jrockalot
My 2014 fuel gauge reads half full after filling up all the way. Any hints on what wires to check? I’d love to know where the sending unit wire is located and if anybody knows how to test it? I believe the sending unit provides variable resistance to the cluster to indicate full vs empty but I’m not 100% sure. Thanks in advance for any help!! Oh and my gas gauge is digital on the left cluster Edited February 20 by Jrockalot Added more content
