sleepysam22
I need immediate help folks. Hopefully a tech is on. 2019 Ford Fusion se. when I went to my car after it was off for approx 20 minutes the outside temp reading on my nav screen showed -40. While on the auto mode with ac on it is blowing hot air unless I switch to max ac and off auto. Now the outside temp display shows accurate which is 83 degrees here however if I turn my ac auto to 68 it blows hot hair. Anyone have any clues? Of course it's Sunday and at 1 of the worst times. Any help greatly appreciated.

If it happens again and you are close to your Ford Dealer...or any Ford/Lincoln Dealer, stop at the Service Department (do not turn you car off) and show them, so they can witness the problem and log it into the system for your car. In this way, there will be a record of the issue and they may be able to isolate it easier. Good luck.

sleepysam22
Thank you. From what I can determine it may have been a hiccup with the ambient air temperature sensor. Going to stop by dealer anyhow tomorrow to report the issue.

Just a word of advice which may save you some time: If it is not malfunctioning at the time, there is no sense in going out of your way to stop by. The Service Department needs to see it malfunction to note anything. If you go when it is working properly, they will most likely tell you to stop back when it malfunctions again. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
