06 fusion With bad vibes

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have a 06 fusion that I bought new,  now it has 105,000 miles, And in park or neutral its fine, but while sitting in drive or reverse the car has a bad vibration, once I'm moving the vibration goes away, the RPMs are ok well at least they seem fine 700 RPM , not sure if its the motor mounts?, but the motor seems solid when I try to rock it,, Thanks in advance for any advice its frustrating I cant figure it out

Hi fingers. Internet diagnosis is difficult at best, impossible at worst. In a situation like this, it would be best to take your car to a Ford Dealer or an independent shop/tech you trust and have them check it over. The problem could be an engine mount, transmission mount, an engine issue, a transmission issue, etc etc.

Keep us updated and good luck.

Hi, curious if there is an update.

I have a 2007 Fusion with 202,000 miles. At my mechanic's now for an oil change and front brakes. I have the same issue you do - vibration when idling in drive.  When I step on the gas, it goes away and when it is in park there is no vibration. My mechanic said the rubber on bottom motor mount is gone.

Hey there, I also have a 2007 Fusion, 106,000 KMs. Rough idle as well, my mechanic replaced the rear motor mount (said it was toast) and I have noticed an improvement but it's not completely gone. I have done some reading into this issue and some folks say that you may have to replace all the mounts. Keep you posted.
