dennism
Hello all, My 2010 Fusion with the 2.5l manual is making a grinding sound under hard acceleration. I have replaced the clutch (due to slipping) and passenger side outer cv, however neither has addressed the issue. Also replaced during the clutch job was the bearings and assembly hubs. I am trying to better track down the remaining possibilities and I only see two. The motor mounts or the inner cv joint. Reddit suggested the motor mount however I am not experiencing any other motor mount symptoms one would expect to experience. Does anyone know if this car has a proclivity towards either failing? dougiegmi
Did you ever pinpoint the issue? I have the same in first and second when accelerating. Hoping it’s motor mounts and not a full trans rehab.
