Myfusion17
I did a search and didn't see much info and I've learned my lesson about aftermarket gimmicks thanks to a member from here so I thought I would get some responses. Cold air intake I know engines need to breath and the colder the air the more oxygen so it ignites better. So is it worth the $289 for cold air intake for the 2017 1.5eco? Also the throttle lag in these cars are terrible so I've looked at aftermarket direct connect controllers. Gimmick or do they truly help response time? I've considered a dyno tune but it's very expensive from what I can tell. Any responses or suggestions? Thanks I appreciate and respect the amount of knowledge here!
Ponyguy
Frankly, I wouldn't do any aftermarket modifications to a 1.5 liter EcoBoost engine if it was still under factory warranty.

No longer under warranty. Have there been issues you know of. I read alot of people do the cold air intake don't think I've heard of any issues. I know I have one on my Accord 3.0Vtech and it made a bit of difference on it but it's also a 98. New cars these days are nothing but a damn computer on steroids. Can't do anything wbesides spending a bunch for higher performance model.
