I have noise in the rear speakers that is not affected by the volume control. The dealer has no idea and Ford in Vehicle Technology department can’t help me either. Is there A contact at Ford I can call?

Hi JD. Is your Fusion still within the 3 year/36,000 mile New Car Warranty? If yes, and they have verified and admitted there is something wrong, they can't just say we have "no idea" and and we can't help you. They need to escalate your case.

Call Ford Customer Relations. If that does not help, check the Lemon Law requirements in your State and begin a Lemon Law buyback.

Keep us updated and good luck.

Why are you calling it "digital crosstalk"?

Can you describe the noise?

This sound was present in my older Sync Software. It was gone for ten days after I updated to the current version but it came back. The volume control makes no change in the noise, and it is found only in the rear speakers. I keep them disconnected for now.

Hi JD. Have you made any audio system or other modifications to your Energi, or is it all completely stock/factory?

The car is totally factory issue. I am hoping that I can find someone who knows more about feature programming and debugging. Meanwhile I don’t have rear speakers connected to enjoy silence. If the car is awake the rear amplifier is on regardless of the audio power control.
I will try to attach a recording of the sound. But it may not work.
thanks,
John

Hi John. I completely understand what you are hoping for. I hope for it too. In the meantime, knowing if the system is stock or not is important.

Also, you forgot to mention whether your car is still within the 3 year/36,000 mile New Car Warranty when asked earlier?

We do have a few audio-knowledgeable members. Hopefully one of them will jump in with some advice and help.

Keep us updated and good luck.
