macpark Posted November 2, 2020 Share Posted November 2, 2020 I am no longer able to jack up my fusion on rear jack points. On one side the pinch weld rusted and is gone with deformation of the rusted body. On the other side the pinch weld is still there but body is rusted away. The jack mushes into body wrinkilng under the pressure instead of raising the car. I have significant corrosion/rust under and behind the rear door. bbf2530 Posted November 2, 2020 Share Posted November 2, 2020 Hi macpark. From the looks of that rocker panel rust damage, you will need to use a floor jack and sturdier underbody points. What year is your Fusion? Safe to assume you live in the "Rust Belt" or another area where salt is used liberally on the roads?
