2020 Alternator Rewind

Want to have OEM alternator rewound to over 150 amp capacity.  I have a big box of amplifiers, subs, and other audio parts from the last ride.  Will do the "big three," of course.  I am searching for sound quality over sound pressure.  I will occasionally approach 130 db when that special feeling arises.

My advantage is my age-related and prior hearing loss.  It does not take super-high-end equipment to satisfy my quest for quality.

Plan:

   Keep the factory head.

Feed signal to a sound processor

Old school Pioneer {A/B} 4 x 60 to doors with a future upgrade to components.

350w {mofset} amp to a pair of subs.

Could anyone think of any issues that may arise by rewinding the alternator over 150A?

Who is telling you that an alternator can be rewound to produce more current?

The rectifiers would need to be replaced and would need improved heat sinking - something that the existing shell can't accommodate.

The PCM software needs to be matched to the installed options.

You don't rewind. It dies nothing. You need a high output alternator. As well as a pulse width Modulated computer over ride.

You also need more battery. You out the total demand on the alt, it will burn up.

Every 1500 watts should be accompanied by 65-75vamp hours of wet cell or agm. Or just go Lithium. 40ah will support 5-7k watts with 250 amps of charging.

Contact brand x Electrical on face book for your high out out needs. He's I e of the only REPUTABLE places to do alts for these vehicles for the application at hand

Check out my introduction post.
