Instrument Panel Question (Fuse??)

Recommended Posts

Hello all.

Just stumbled upon this forum and looking for help or advice!

I just recently bought a 2009 ford fusion with about 130k and solid shape. No rust, interior clean, new tires, brakes, etc. Overall a solid purchase for $2300.

Just needed a new battery and bled the air out of the breaks. Now here is my question.

The only thing that I cannot figure out is how to tackle the problem I have with my instrument panel. All the gauges work but I am not getting my

1. Odometer display

2. Brights indicator

3. Seatbelt light

4. Possibly check engine light (since they are next to each other)

5.Change oil light (same reason

Etc.

All the ones in the middle above the odometer display

My turn signals work but that is all on the panel. Gauges and turn signals.

I'm wondering how to go about this. Is there a fuse for the indicators on the panel or is this possibly a wire/bad soder?

Any info is much appreciated. I've read if I bang on the dash the solder could reconnect but no luck, I've been looking for the fuse that controls the instrument panel but can't really find it in the manual.

Thanks,

Slizza

There is no separate fuse for the indicators. Sounds like the instrument cluster is defective. You can get a replacement at a recycler, eBay, etc but you will need to have a dealer perform the installation as programming is required.
