star4830
have keyless start, but do not have remote start...when I start the car to let it warm, for a couple of minutes...I take the fob with me, but when I shut the door, the horn blows, alerting the neighborhood that I am warming the car. I woulk like to lock it while I go in for a couple of minutes to get my things. (I have visual on it, so not much worry about theft.) Any settings I can change to stop that?

As eGuru mentioned, knowing at least the model year would help. However, the general answer is no. There is no owner configurable factory setting in the Driver Information Center to disable the horn honk. It is a safety feature to keep a driver from accidentally/inadvertently leaving their car running when they get out of the car. To avoid the horn honk, you can leave the fob in the car (place in the console, under seat etc.), then lock the car with the keyless entry door keypad, then use the code to unlock the car when you come back. Of course, this assumes you have a model/trim level equipped with the keyless entry keypad. Alternately...the horn honk can be disabled if you purchase an OBDII adapter, download FORScan software, and change particular programming parameters. Good luck.

Welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum and congratulations on your new Fusion. The answer in my previous post still applies. It is a safety feature and can not be owner-disabled in the Drivers Information Center. The other choices are: You can leave the fob in the car and lock/unlock the doors with the keyless keypad on the outside of the door. Or you can invest in an OBDII adapter to use FORScan software and a laptop to change the programming parameters of the vehicle. Hope to see you around the forum and good luck. akirby
If you don't have to lock it, just don't shut the door all the way.
Drball83
The only way to shut off this feature is changing the As-built information with FORSCAN in the BCM. The dealer will tell you there is no way to do it and won't do it for you. There is no customer setting to do it. I've successfully changed several features in my car, but if you don't have a working knowledge of FORSCAN, and what adapters to use, how to use it, or how fix mistakes, I wouldn't recommend it. There are several forums with information regarding how to make As-built changes if you want to give it a try. DanMac85 (I think that's his username) at 2Gfusions has a very good step-by-step on how to do it and what to use. Good luck.

Its a lot easier to just not close the door all the way.
