Bigtrucklover
I'd like to remove the chrome look of the tail lights. I'm thinking the easiest is to have them covered with a "smoke" film. But I don't like the idea of reducing the visibility when the lights aren't activated. Not sure if there are other options there?
Malachi2007
you can remove the clear plastic lens and paint the chrome whatever color you like. Remove the tail light from the car, pull the retaining staples and place in the oven at I think 250 degrees F for a few minutes and this will soften the glue holding the lens on. Carefully pry the lens from the housing and do your paint. Use a good sealant from the parts store to reseal the lens and reinstall the staples.
