New member checking in from Massachusetts. Had a new 2010 red SE until April of 2016 and then switched to a new Kia Optima LX then and although I never regretted it, I wished I had stayed with a Fusion. Just bought a 2020 SEL with everything but a block heater a couple of weeks ago and all is right with the world again.  I couldn't be happier with it and I look forward to joining this forum.  (Only negative is the dang autolock rear doors. Googled and tried all kinds of work arounds but nothing shuts it off.)

Hi 20SEL. Welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum, and congratulations on your new Fusion.

On the "autolock rear doors", two points: First, unless the settings were changed for 2020 in the Drivers Information Center, they should be able to be turned off.

Second, even if they can not, all a backseat passenger needs to do is pull the door handle a second time and the door unlocks.

There are many things to learn about these cars. It would be a good idea to take a look through the Owners Manual when you have a chance. You can find far more about your car in there than you can Googling. You can also download the PDF version of your Owners Manual here: https://www.fleet.ford.com/parts-service/resources/owner-manuals/

I often find it easier to look through the PDF on my desktop than flip through the hard copy.

Welcome again and good luck.

Thanks bbf2530 for the advice. I have the pdf version of the manual on my phone and have read almost all of it (some of it more than once). It states: "Note: You can switch autounlock and autolock on or off independently of each other. Autolock is not configurable in all markets. If the autolock settings are not available in your information display, then the system is not configurable. See General Information (page 94)."  I can definitely confirm that the last part is true. Seems for 2020 and in some markets autolock cannot be shut off.  It's a small annoyance for such a nice car, especially if you do Uber and Lyft part time on weekends.  I have to always remember to unlock the door so they can get in and then they fumble with the handle on trying to get out if I don't tell them or unlock it first.
