I have had the steering loss problem before and was able to clear the codes using a scanner and the issue seemed to be resolved. Yesterday it threw the code again and I went to clear it and the code didn't show up in the scanner. The steering wheel was locked up like usual and the warning showed up on the dash. I tried a different scanner and it said it could not connect to the abs system on the car.
