Just bought a 12 Ford Fusion SEL with sony sync and the stereo stopped playing sound. Had to take it to the dealer after 2 car audio guys were unsuccessful to learn the Sony amp has gone out and needs to be replaced. Which they quoted $860. Any recommendations on the cheapest route to just get sound back again? And does anyone know where the DSP amp is located?

The DSP Sony amp is located in the trunk on the right side behind the soft panel. I've seen a couple of these in self service parts yards in Texas. BTW I am trying to locate the cable that goes between the Nav display screen and the DSP CD player. Anyone have an extra or know the Ford part number for it??
