okegs4ever
Hi i have a 2007 ford fusion AWD. It makes a clunking noise from the transmission. When you accelerate, it has a pull back and slows down. Anyone had this same issue before? Do we need to change transmission? Or is there a way to disable the AWD to fix this? Any help is appreciated.
drolds1
First, diagnosing noises over the Internet is virtually impossible, especially when we can't hear it or tell where it's coming from. Secondly, you haven't given any details about your car, e.g., mileage, maintenance: trans fluid changes, PTU fluid changes. Third, why do you feel that the AWD is the cause of this issue? You can eliminate that as a cause by pulling the fuse for AWD and seeing what happens.
