Getting ready to file a claim - 2019 Fusion SE on 3rd Engine!!

I am hoping for a little help. My son's 2019 Fusion is on it's 3rd engine (original plus 2 replacements so far) because of the coolant leaking into the cylinders.  This vehicle is a lease. 1st engine was replaced 6 months after the lease started. Lease just hit the 2 year mark and has just had another engine put in. My quesiton is: If any of you have had this problem and filed a claim with Ford, what compensation did you ask for versus what you got? I am hoping to help my son get out of the lease at the very least but believe they should be compensating him for all the months he has not had the vehicle. Any suggestions/experiences/advise is greatly appreciated.

If I should be posting this question somewhere else please advise. I am new to the forum searching for answers. Thank you very much.

There are threads galore about this under "Maintenance,  Recalls andTSB's...".  Ford is currently in court about this because several groups have filed Class Action lawsuits in regard to the issue.  Ford is stalling and it seems that the case might not be resolved for years (they just settled one this week that dated to 1996!).  Seeing that Ford replaced the engines free of charge and you should have gotten a loaner during the down times, I doubt there's much you can do.  I've never heard of 3 engines; that seems a bit much.

That doesn’t sound right at all.  They don’t usually fail that quickly nor that often and the new blocks are supposed to be fixed.  I would ask for compensation of at least 3 lease payments and/or to be let out of the lease early.  They don’t have to do it but given the unusual circumstances they might.

Several Escape owners are complaining that the new blocks have also failed, so I don't doubt that, BUT I do doubt the failures on a 2019 - if it was a '17, maybe.  Just too soon for all that to have happened, unless they drive 50K a year.  Which, given it's a lease, doesn't fit, either.

New blocks as in the new design, or just blocks that were replaced with the old design?

What kind of morons do they have designing their engines now. I spent 31 years at Ford and can't believe the trouble they are having with their product in recent years.

Not morons, just less experienced than in the past.  A lot of engineering talent was either laid off or retired the last 15 years.
