Anyone know what causes this

Recommended Posts

There is a very well defined line as can be seen in the attached photos when the low beam lights are on. This is for the driver side light. The lights seem to be pointing down with a line marking a position maybe 20 feet in front of the vehicle.

(Trying to figure out the passenger side - lights don't seem to be working very well)

Hi rp. First, are you sure the "line" is not caused by the LED lights?

Next: If not caused by the LED's, then the headlight probably needs to be adjusted up. The instructions on how to vertically adjust the headlights are in the Owners Manual.

If you do not have your hard copy, you can download the PDF version here: https://www.fleet.ford.com/parts-service/resources/owner-manuals/

If that does not solve the issue, then there may be a problem with the headlight/headlight housing itself. Did you purchase your vehicle new or used? how long have you owned it? Ever been in a front end accident?

Let us know how you make out and good luck.
