So this is the antenna for my 2013 ford fusion. He managed to snap it off with a football.  Can this be fixed or will I have to remove the headliner to replace the whole thing?

Hi gb. From what I can see, you will need to get under (above) the headliner to remove the broken mount and replace it.

 

You may be able to get to the fastener of the broken base without completely removing the headliner. I would think a body shop could probably do it without removing the entire headliner.

 

And although this was probably a one-in-a-million-bad luck shot, you may want to replace it with the factory flexible antennae, instead of that stylish, but inflexible looking aftermarket antennae. It probably would not have broken if the more flexible factory antenna was on.

You'll definitely have to partially drop the headliner. Here's a video showing how it's done.  It doesn't look that difficult.

 

As an aside here, you can replace the mast antenna with a shark fin model, thus avoiding any future mishaps  They're available pre-painted here.
