Instant Mileage Reading somehow turned on

So I was driving down the highway today and I set my cruise/speed control just like I always do. Maybe after like 10-15 minutes down the highway, my instant mileage reading came on. At first, it was just showing my mpg like the average of it. Then, like I said it instantly just switched over to instant mileage reading where it would go down if I stepped on the gas and would go back up if I started coasting or pressed the brake. I didn't press any buttons or anything. I have no idea how to change it back either. I tried looking in the owners manual and I couldn't find anything either. I have a 2007 Ford Fusion SE.

Hi Spencer. The instructions for the Message Center and displays are in the Owners Manual. Check the Index under "Message Center" for the correct page in your copy.

Good luck.
