jamesrobert
There is a set of 2009 alloy OEM Ford wheels for sale and I'm wondering if they will fit my 2011? The only difference is the wheel width: 7.5 inch for a 2011 and 7 inch for a 2009. Also, can 225/50/17 tires be mounted on a 7 inch wide wheel? Thanks. 2010-2012 Ford Fusion Wheels diameter 17" width 7.5" 5 lug holes bolt pattern 114.3mm offset 44mm Center Bore: 67.1 mm 2009 Ford Fusion Wheels: diameter 17" width 7" 5 lug holes bolt pattern 114.3mm offset 44mm Center Bore: 67.1 mm

Yes and yes. The 2009 Fusion wheels will fit on a 2011 Fusion, and the 225/50-17 tire will fit on that 2009 wheel. Good luck. Bop
Good topic. I have a 2009 SE with sport package. It has 18" Wheels 225/45/18. So it has a very short sidewalls. These tires telegraph most any imperfection in road to the chassis. I would like to put 16" wheels on my car so i could have a standard 205/60/16 tires witch are the same diam. as current tires but higher sidewalls . I notice though parts manuals specify a different part numbers for upper control arms for both 16" and 17" wheels. I know the bolt circle and bores are identical. I just don't know if the wheels will hit somewhere. Thanks, Bop
WKelley
I have 16" rims/winter tires on my 2010 SE and my summers are the 17". Even the AWD cars use the same front suspension and a couple minor differences in the rear. You should have no issue, just make certain to have all 4 the same size and as close to the same circumference as the 18". Might be different part numbers as some are made with different offsets to fix alignment issues.

So you can use a 16" wheel (with a 205/60-16 tire), as long as the wheel is the correct width, offset, lug spacing, centerbore, etc. etc. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
Bop
Thanks You. Still puzzled Rock Auto specifies a particular part number for upper control arms for 2009 Year. Rock Auto photo's show a different control arm for 16" and 17" wheel nothing specified for 18". The 16' CONTROL ARM has a rubber stopper bolted to it. The tire diameters work out pretty good. Also wonder if Sport Package was just mostly black chrome grill, fog lights and spoiler. I'm just hoping there not bigger sway bars, different spring rates and struts. I guess I'm a worry wart. I will let you know. I'm think of going to Pick You're Nose and snagging a 16" wheel. Go from there. If it works Thanks, Bop
