Bigtrucklover
So on my 2009 Fusion I figured the passenger side has a piece that follows the track, in order to push down the spring mechanism that holds the deflector up when the sunroof is open. On the driver side, that piece is not there. I can't tell if it's broke off, sitting off the track, or completely gone. Either way, the driver side of the deflector stays up, stopping the sunroof from fully closing. I can push it down and then get it closed but I'm hoping to fix it to work correctly. Has anyone figured out how to repair this? What piece needs to be purchased and how to get it installed? Hoping it wouldn't require replacing the entire sunroof.
Porschefix
Big, I had the exact same thing happen to my 2010 Fusion Hybrid. The ONLY fix is to replace the entire roof opening panel frame and Ford wants a cool grand for it. You have to entirely remove the headliner and everything associated with the sunroof to replace the whole frame which is made entirely (not including the moving bits) of plastic. I found a new OEM replacement on e-bay for $700. Good luck
