andyross
I think that might be the fuel-pump trip sensor reset. In a crash, it cuts off the fuel pump power, but could shut off for other reasons.

The fuel pump switch on a 2009 Fusion is in the passenger compartment: Quote FUEL PUMP SHUT-OFF SWITCH This device stops the electric fuel pump from sending fuel to the engine when your vehicle has had a substantial jolt. After an accident, if the engine cranks but does not start, this switch may have been activated. The fuel pump shut-off switch is located in the front passenger footwell area in the right upper corner The OP said the "button" is under the trunk mat between the jack and spare tire.
