CenTex1387
Hello all, I recently bought a high mileage '13 Fusion w/ the 1.6L ecoboost for a commuter to work in lieu of my 5.0 F150. I joined this forum to check in and see what issues people are having and what their remedies are. When I was doing a tune up on it, I noticed a lot of oil sitting on top of the motor and all around the spark plugs. After a little research I came to the conclusion that it could be 1 of 3 things. Either one of the two VVT solenoids OR the Valve cover gasket... well I figured why not attack both at the same time and eliminate all possibilities of having to go back in two weekends in a row. After all, you have to remove the solenoids to take the valve cover off. After $45.00 on rockauto.com they will be arriving this Friday and she is going to be back to rolling in no time! Anyone else already done this?
