J-low
I have a 2019 SE with 56,000 miles on it. It seems like it misses out in the mornings when I first start up and get going on the highway. This lasts for about 20 minutes or so and then it's fine the rest of the day. Any ideas on what it could be causing this?
akirby
Does it only do it after it sits for a few hours? Could be a leaky injector.
J-low
Pretty much. It's only really noticeable after it sits overnight. And I can visibly watch the tach jump when driving down the road.
WKelley
Stored codes? If there's an active miss there should be something stored. Also, check wiring for rodent damage around injectors and harnesses.

However, without the proper tools and knowledge, there is no way to be sure via blind Internet diagnosis, meaning you may wind up throwing money/parts at the problem, without solving it. My suggestion would be...Even though you are outside the 3 year/36,000 mile New Vehicle Warranty, your Fusion has a 5 year/60,000 mile Powertrain Warranty. I would recommend making a service appointment to let the issue be properly diagnosed and repaired. Hopefully under the Powertrain Warranty. Even if not, there should be no diagnostic charge, since the vehicle is still warrantied. Yes, in order to demonstrate this issue to the Service Advisor, you will need to work around the "This lasts for about 20 minutes or so and then it's fine the rest of the day" part. But demonstrating the problem is far better than simply describing it, handing them the keys, leaving and hoping they can duplicate/experience it on their own. Out of curiosity...How long have you owned the vehicle and when did this issue begin? Let us know how you make out and good luck.
