MikeJ
I went to have my Colorado emission (BS)test done and the OBDII is not communicating, Checked the fuse its OK. I am at a loss as to what is wrong, trying not to go the dealer. Thanks Edited July 14, 2022 by MikeJ
WKelley
Check the connector to see if it has power. Check the wires leading to the connector as well.

androbud
I just bought a 2010 and had the same issue. I would hook up my code reader and get an ERROR message. It was just a loose wire. If you look at your OBD2 connection there will be 2 tabs on the sides. Pop this out and pull it backwards and then pull on the wires until it hangs down under the dash. I just had to push the wires back in from the back of the connector and it worked fine.
MikeJ
went and checked everything and no issues so I plugged into the obdII with the laptop no issues. worked fine I am now believing that the guy at the emissions place is a idiot and didn't know what he was doing went to a different test site and it passed
