2012 Fusion SEL Sticking in park. Required part is obsolete, anyone know what I can transplant?

My 2012 Fusion SEL is was stuck in park. The Dealership forced it and it is working now but they recommend replacing the shifter assembly.

Unfortunately the part (Ford CE5Z-7210-GA) is obsolete and unavailable. This is the leather wrapped knob with the +/- button on the drivers side. There is another part listed below this part ending in Ga that ends in KA (Ford entire part number CE5Z-7210-KA).

From what I scan tell the only difference is that the "GA" knob is leather and the "KA" is not. At $225 plus tax for the part I'd like to be sure it will work.

Does anyone actually know if I can replace the "CE5Z-7210-GA" with the "CE5Z-7210-KA". So far my search of wreckers has been a bust for either assembly and I am also calling every Ford dealer I can find asking if they have the "CE5Z-7210-GA" in stock for some reason.

In the meantime My wife has found a "FordGuy" willing to take the assembly out and give it a good clean.

I'd hate to have to scrap this car.

When I input my VIN on sites that use the VIN it says the GA is the only part that works. I suspect that the only difference is the Leather on the GA but I don't want to spend almost $300 on a Linkage I can't return if it is wrong. Wreckers don't have either part so far.
