Turbotim88
Hi, keep getting a voice message "GPS signal lost" on my 2019 Ford Fusion SE. Is this an issue in my phone, or with the Sync system, or a setting adjustment. I recently got a new Android phone, but this issue was happening even with my old phone. Any help would be appreciated. I did ask my local Ford dealer about this but was told I would have to make an appointment and drop it off for the day and have their Sync tech take a look at it. Which means I'll probably have to rent a vehicle, and I have a $100 deductible on my warranty plan. Not the best situation. Maybe there's something I can do myself. Thanks

You can try a SYNC Master Reset. The procedure for your particular vehicle will be listed in the Owners Manual. Just few questions: - When this occurs, are you using the onboard NAV system or a navigation app on your phone (Google Maps, Waze etc.) ? - Does this happen when you have an address input into the Navigation system? If the SYNC Master Reset does not help (maybe a 50/50 shot), then a service visit will probably be necessary. Also...It is always easier to diagnose a problem if it is happening at the time. So if you should have this occur again before the service appointment, and can get to the Dealership while it is occurring, they may be able to throw it on the diagnostic machine to help find a cause. Don't turn off the vehicle before you go in to get someone, as that may reset the system. Keep us updated and good luck.

A "Power button" simply refers to a button you can push that turns the audio system power on and off. Some vehicles have a power button, some do not. So there are various sets of instructions for vehicles with and without dedicated power buttons. Click on the links and there are photos showing examples. Sometimes the power button is the volume knob (push for on/off). Other times the power button is a separate button (again, push for on/off). Good luck. Are you asking if the vehicle needs to be running when a reset is performed? Just follow the instructions in the link which drolds1 provided. Does it specify that the engine needs to be running, or only the ignition needs to be switched on? Do whichever it states. If it does not state either way, I would play it safe and perform it with the engine running. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
