Climate controls

I have a 2019 fusion hybrid se. Two days ago I had an issue where I couldn’t get the blower motor to blow at all no matter what I did with the controls. After checking fuses and stopping and starting the car a few times, the blower motor started working again. The controls are still not working correctly though. When I have the temperature at “low”, I get very cold air like I’m supposed to. If I go one up to 60 degrees or higher, the system automatically pushes out max heat. This hasn’t changed over the past couple days and I’m still dealing with it today.

The car has 37,500 miles so the dealer said it’s not covered under any warranty. I have read that there is a reset for other model years but haven’t seen anything for the 2019s. Does anyone have any suggestions before I take it in to the dealer?

Hi Jeremy and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. There are several possibilities, including a blend door/blend door actuator issues, etc.But it seems you may also have an intermittent blower motor issue. It would be difficult at at best to diagnose properly without the necessary diagnostic tools. Which means you would simply be flying blind and throwing parts at the problem.

Since the 3 year/36,000 mile New Vehicle Warranty has so recently expired, I would recommend you call Ford Customer Service and see if they can do something to accommodate you. Politely do not take no for an answer, and ask for the next level up in the personnel chain if necessary.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

Hey Jeremy,

I am having the same issues with my 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid Titanium. 51000 miles. Identical blower fan issues that righted itself after couple starts and stops. But then climate control is on full heat if setting isn't set to LO. This includes when AC is on. Have tried resetting climate control and will look at cabin temp sensor later today. I know its been a couple years but hoping you see this and let us know what the repair ultimately was.

Thanks.
