2014 Fusion EB 2.0 engine stalling.

Recommended Posts

My 2014 Fusion with the EB 2.0 engine started to have issues where it would stall during idle and turn off and even once at a red light. I took it to the dealer last year and they said it was a fuel pressure sensor so ok replaced, then a few months ago they said it went bad and also recommended cleaning the valves and then that was $700~ total. Last week it did it again and they said its the low side fuel pressure sensor but the charge for it was $95 (BU5Z-9F972-B) for the part and $742.50 for the labor. Labor included replacing the part and reprograming the modules which they did last time and it was no where near as expensive. I was flabbergasted at how much labor was for this. Does this seem right? I took a cursory look on google to see how much and it seems to range from $150-350 in labor and not $742.50.

So far I have spent upwards for $1600 over the last 1.5 years or so for this problem and I don't know if my dealer is taking me for a ride on this and if this is actually going to finally fix this damn problem.

I just started having a similar issue on my Wife's 14 2.0 eb.  It can't maintain idle after a warm start. If I shut it off immediately after it will restart after a somewhat long crank and then doesn't seem to have an issue. Does anyone know what the fuel pressure is supposed to be at the low pressure sensor and high pressure sensor. Does anyone have a pin out for the sensors?

If it is a fuel pressure issue, first want to make sure the sensors are reading properly. If they are then is my fuel pressure within spec.

Thanks in advance
