In Search of Replacement Rim

I bought my car in 2019 as a Certified Pre-Owned with a bent rim that was deemed good to use.

It has recently become a problem as it's causing the tire to lose air slowly. I need to replace it.

Where should I buy one? I was looking at ones on eBay. Need exact OEM and for it to be in nice shape (not beat up).

Part # HS7Z-1007-C.

VIN: 3FA6P0RU7JR120574

Here's what it looks like:

You can check some local tire shops to see if it can be straightened. Air leakage may not always be due to being bent, but also due to corrosion by the bead, too.

I asked two places and they said they cannot because it's aluminum. Only the cheaper steel rims can be fixed.

Per the certified pre-owned paperwork, the rim had a bent lip. My mechanic says the leaking tire is on this rim. They put bead sealer on it, but it's not 100% working. I have to refill the tire about 1-2x weekly.

Hi FF00. Just for future reference: Aluminum wheels can certainly be straightened. I had one straightened on my 2018 MKZ about 2 years ago.

However, they usually can not be straightened when the bend is on the outside face/lip, which you state yours is. That may be what the shop meant to tell you.

If you want to get a third opinion, just Google "Wheel repair shops near me". I used "Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists". It is a franchise with shops all around the country. Plus, they have mobile repair trailers which will come to your location, remove the wheel, straighten it in their trailer, reinstall it and you are done. My wheel straightening/repair cost $85. Versus an MSRP of over $900 for a new wheel.

If you want to try used, you can check with your local Salvage Yards for a suitable replacement. Or another option I have heard good things about is "Detroit Wheel and Tire". I have not used them, but have seen others on the forum say good things. https://www.detroitwheelandtire.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-v3f_ZfC-wIVkInICh12ZglQEAAYASAAEgLes_D_BwE

Then there is always eBay. But then you take your chances as to what you will actually receive.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.
