PVTRUCK
2015 Ford fusion SEL Ecoboost doesn't start. My wife's fusion will not start. It's the push button ignition. Step on the brake, press ignition button, full auxiliary power comes on, dash board, radio, climate control all function. CEL is on, pulled codes for an O2 sensor, but that shouldn't effect it starting. When I continued to try and start it, CEL started flashing like a blinker light. With ignition on, it will not go into neutral. I pulled the battery had it tested, battery is good. It is parked in a very inconvenient place to inspect it further. Does anyone have some insight into this issue with a code for O2 sensors and no start? Thank you in advance. Edit: dash is reading it's in select shift mode and that is in first gear, shifter is in Park. akirby
If the battery is more than 3 yrs old just replace it. Sometimes they can test ok but still be bad and that can cause all sorts of random failures.
Waldo
There's a recall out there for the shifter bushing, basically the transmission range selector doesn't realize the shifter is in P, so it won't start. It also might not actually be in P, meaning it could roll around as it is right now, so be careful and use the parking brake. You should call a dealer and ask them if they will cover the towing to bring it in to perform the recall. NHTSA recall 22S43.
