Shumax1
Hello, I'm trying to install a dash cam and a radar detector. I don't want to mess with wiring down to the fuse box. I would like to tap into the wires behind the rearview mirror. The photo, below, shows the wires that are available. Which do I tap into in order to have them come on/off with the ignition? Thanks! WKelley
Never a good idea to tap into wiring, the computers can be quite sensitive to even the slightest voltage drop and cause unforeseen problems. It is best to wire straight to the fuse panel even though that is a giant PITA.

I know that over the years, members here have tapped into the mirror wires, but as noted above, not the best idea.
Shumax1
For those of you looking for the answer, the blue/gray wire is positive. The brown/yellow wire is negative. Tapped into those with prongs, via the back of the connector, in less than 30sec. Works great - on/off with the ignition. This is on a 2019 SE.
