Fuser
Temperature dropped below the teens here over the Christmas weekend. Had to wait till temps got above freezing, and sunshine to warm up the car, before the cable released. Question is do I need to replace the cable? Can I force some kind of lubricant into the sleeve of the cable?
twiggy144
Samething happened to me with another vehicule. Forcing some lubricant in the sleeve would be very difficult. I decided to replace the cable, the segment between the equalizer and the caliper, and was done with the cable freezing.
motorcyclist
Had that happen myself during a hard freeze, the rear cables both had water in them due to torn boots on the cable at the caliper, I drained them the best I could and sprayed penetrating oil down them and electrical taped over the rubber boots, will see how they do.
