i purchased a steal of a 2014 Fusion with only 43k miles a month ago and have been slowly upgrading and replacing parts here and there. One part I cannot find is the lining above the rear door. I have searched and searched. My car lining is all black but the rear driver door was replaced before I bought it and it’s the only one door with silver trim. It stands out like a sore thumb to me and I want to buy the part in black. I considered painting it but I will keep that as a last resort. If anyone can recommend the part name and or number I’d really appreciate it. Searching for oem parts, eBay and forums has not helped me so far.  I attached a picture.

thanks

Hi JBee and welcome to the Ford Fusion Forum. I am not sure of the exact name. My guess...without looking it up on a exploded parts view online? Perhaps "Left rear door/upper frame trim" or something similar.

However, the best way to get a the correct name and part number would be to stop by the Parts Department of your local Ford Dealer and ask them. They can give you the part number, name and a price. Then you can negotiate the price with them, or use the part number to shop online. Have your VIN handy, as that is how they cross reference parts for your particular model.

Perhaps another member will look it up and post back. But if not, stop by your local Ford Dealer and ask.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

That is something I had not yet considered; going to the dealer directly. Thank you. I’ve searched for every possible part name and no results other than one exploded part diagram wit that specific part not listed. I’ll head to the Ford dealer soon. I appreciate it.

Someone on Reddit found the answer pretty quickly. Window belt trim molding outer

Hi JBee. That is great. And they may be correct. However, the term "belt trim" usually refers to the trim piece at the bottom of the window, along the "belt line" of the vehicle. Not at the top. But as stated, that may be correct.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.
