Andre Matos
I have a 2010 Ford Fusion V6 AWD 3.0 The battery light is on. and this cause powertrain mallfunction. In the alternator we replace the voltage Regulator, rectifier board, both for a new one, in car look for defective fuse, all wires and conectors malfuction and replace the defective ones, made ECM reprograming. Nothing resolves the problem. When we turn on the car, the battery light is off. But when the car starts to move the light comes back on Someone can help me with this? Any Idea? Thanks
WKelley
The ECM does control the power output of the alternator. What is the voltage when the light comes on?
Andre Matos
the voltage in ECM module is 12v
WKelley
If you can get your hands on some wiring diagrams, I'd be checking the wiring coming out of the ECM that controls the alternator. It is possible for the alternator driver in the ECM is bad yet there are no other problems. If you have access to a really good scan tool look to see if you can find any realtime data showing the ECM commanding the alternator.
Andre Matos
Thanks for your suggestion, you are helping so much. I check all conections and wires as suggested. The ECM module now is receiving normal voltage and all modules are reciving normal voltage too. But the battery light on panel don't turn off. it seems the panel does not understand that the voltage is normal and does not turn off the light. There is something wrong between the ECU communication with the panel. This weekend I will replace the ECU driver as you suggested, I reply soon with the news. Thanks again
Andre Matos
We finally solve the problem. We replace only the panel driver on ECU, and the things resolved. The battery light indicator turned off. I thanks your help!
