paulmlac
Hi, new here. Just bought a 2011 Ford Fusion SE, 80 k miles, single zone manual climate control. Running into an issue with the HVAC blowing hot. It’s hot in both the AC mode & in the vent mode (no AC). It’s sporadic. Note when the AC works it blows cold (so it doesn’t need a recharge). It seems to happen right after I put the headlights on auto. I’ve kept the headlights off auto & the car has blown cold (only about 10 engine starts though). I did an internet search. Seems others have had this problem. From what I read, people have replaced a variety of parts but doesn’t seem like any fix has consistently worked. These posts are older. Curious if anyone has figured out a fix yet?
Fuser
My problem is with the blend door itself. Every search I make gives info on the actuator, not the blend door, which works fine. Once tried to turn the blend door knob and could not. It is supposed to turn easily. At a later time was able to turn the knob and turned it so we get cool air.
Fuser
Now that we have cold weather again, thought I could just turn the knob to move the blend door for heat. Wrong. It is stuck. This past spring was actually surprised it moved. Now I wonder if it is frozen or debris in the duct has it jammed.
