digitalgpbandit
I keep seeing this supposed class action lawsuit regarding Ford Fusion 6F35 transmissions from 2010-2017. Is this a legit thing or is it bogus? Seems strange to me as it only names the Fusion, however this trans was also used in the Escape, fwd Explorers, some Transit Connects & I believe this was also shared with some Chevys. Anybody have any insight to this? https://lemonlawhelp.com/ford-fusion-lawsuit-repeated-transmission-problems/ Edited June 27, 2023 by digitalgpbandit
WKelley
I would not take that article seriously, there is no chance they could even win. They are appearing to sue for maintenance items and the other items are overly vague.
piratepress
Yeah, don't get your hopes up. My wife bought a brand new 2006 Freestyle and four years later the CVT imploded at 52,000 miles. We joined a class-action lawsuit because so many owners were affected and Ford would not warranty the repair. Long story short, Ford's high-priced lawyers squashed the lawsuit and people such as myself had to either cough up the $7000 for a new CVT or be stuck with a vehicle that was completely useless.
digitalgpbandit
I figured as much it was bogus. I have over 158,000 miles on my Fusion and thankfully the trans is still holding in there *knocks on wood*. I did have a few leaks over the years. I had to replace the driver side axle seal & axle due to leaking under extended warranty, then again due to it leaking under ford service parts warranty. Then about a year and a half ago the trans lines were leaking. Just glad I keep some extra fluids around. Its been holding tight since then, but I still feel a bit paranoid over it.
