An engine swap with a Fusion Energi in order to turn it into a "top tier level" performer is simply not a realistic/feasible project. If you want a performance oriented Fusion, your best course of action would be to sell your Fusion Energi Hybrid and purchase a Fusion Sport with the 2.7L EcoBoost, or a 2.0L Fusion EcoBoost. Unfortunately, if you are "kinda stuck with the car", there is not much you can do to increase performance in any appreciable manner. WKelley Posted July 31, 2023 Share Posted July 31, 2023 Being a Hybrid basically means there is no way to modify the drivetrain. The fusion was never a performance platform and nothing was ever created for it.
