My advice would be to wait a week or two before purchasing/downloading, to allow for any bugs in the update system to be worked out. You would think that they would be able to provide something more up to date, but it is what it is. As with most/all SYNC 3 map updates, the current update includes reported updates from 2nd quarter of the previous year to 2nd quarter of the current year. So "NA 2 22" contains reported updates from 2nd quarter 2022 to 2nd quarter 2023. So it is about 6 months old. Will there be missing streets etc. which may have been finished last year but no updated? Certainly, it always seems to be that way. But the official description is as provided above. It has been $109 for the download only. And $149 if you want them to mail a loaded USB. Or we can opt for the 5 year subscription, which is $199 for the five year download subscription, or $239 to receive a loaded USB, and add $40 for the loaded USB each subsequent 4 years. Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 NAV used to get 2 free downloads. Then we had to pay. I am not sure if Ford vehicles were entitled to any free downloads. Good luck. Google maps is updated continuously and they don’t charge anything. Waze doesn’t charge on my iPhone either. Not saying not to use it and I even still do from time to time, just thought I'd put that out there. The most I have ever been aware of Ford vehicles getting is one free update, and as previously stated, even Lincoln vehicles were only entitled to two. In addition, they had to be used within the New Vehicle Warranty time period. So 3 years/36,000 miles for Fords, and 4 years/50,000 miles for Lincolns. And even that changes with the new SYNC 4 and recently released Google based SYNC systems. So count yourself lucky on the NAV update subject.
