Mark1
hi all, 2012 ford fusion sel here with 50k miles. My backup camera has started looking like when we used to try to watch channels we didn't have a subscription to on cable back in the 90s. Extremely out of focus, very dim(i can barely see it at night)wobbly and it occasionally rolls. I have tried jiggling the cables going into the back of the mirror, and it would work for a few days and then stop working again, until recently nothing i try is getting it to work. The photochromic mirror(it tints up when bright headlights hit it) works fine, as do the back up sensors. The first time it happened, we called the local dealership and they wanted $150 just to look at it. I can open the decklid half way, or if i have to retrieve something, catch it halfway down and let it close from there and it'll fix it. if it gets closed from all the way open the issue will return and i can fix it as described. Loose connection in there somewhere?
