Jacob M
My ford Fusion won't start. I've went through all the usual suspects like the fuel system, spark system, etc. I finally caved and used my buddy's matco scanner on it, and from what we can tell it's some sort of electrical issue related to the shifter. When we look at the gear command it stays at -1 no matter what position the shift stick is in. I was hoping someone on here might know a thing or two about this issue. I also want to mention that it's got a dozen other unrelated codes that seem random, and we can't rule out a bad PCM or ECM. I want to be sure before I take any further steps in that direction.
drolds1
Which engine? There was a recall for 2013–2016 Fusions with the 2.5L for shifter issues.
mozz
And again there are no parts available for the recall to fix the problem.

There was no 3.5L engine available in the 2015 Fusion. Keep us updated and good luck.
