Confused Fusion Posted September 28, 2023 Share Posted September 28, 2023 Beyond confused. So 2017 Fusion SE. 16X,XXX miles. I don’t remember without looking. So I’m getting the “SERVICE CHARGING SYSTEM” notification on the dash and the battery icon. Brand new battery and alternator has been tested. All is working. But it’s still killing my car? drolds1 Posted September 28, 2023 Share Posted September 28, 2023 Who installed the battery? Was the Battery Monitoring System (BMS) reset? Failure to reset the BMS after a battery replacement can fool the system into "thinking" that the old, worn out battery is still connected and produce these symptoms. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
