vidmaster
Hello, I have a 2013 fusion SE and am the original owner. The dealer installed the RMST module at time of purchase for me. My remote start hasn’t been working for several months and I just noticed today that the remote start options are missing in the vehicle configuration options on the dashboard which probably explains why it’s not working. any ideas on where to start troubleshooting? lots of experience working on mustangs but not fusions. If it’s missing, does that indicate the can bus doesn’t see the module (bad module?) or could it just be disabled from a recent dealer service? thank you in advance! andyross
If you know where it is, maybe start with a simple check for any loose connectors or damaged wires. Even a simple unplug/replug may fix possible corrosion problems.
vidmaster
That was my first thought as well. Just not sure where it’s even located lol. I will do some searching over the weekend I did have the driver side CV axle and trans seal replaced about a month or two ago and haven’t tried to use the remote start since then so wondering if they might have inadvertently hit or disconnected something.
